Saturday morning we headed to Park City, home to Olympic Park.
This is where the 2002 Winter Olympic games were held.
We started out at the Olympic Training site, which was even more awesome
since athletes were training and we got to watch them!
Excited boys walking up to the training center.
Now that's a ramp!
It was incredible to see them ramping off in winter ski's, flipping and twisting, then
landing in a deep pool and having to swim to the side in ski's! I was tired just watching them.
Next, we checked out the Olympic museum and got to experience some of the
games themselves.
Joel and I taking our turn at carrying the torch.
I think the boys faces explain pretty well that the curling
stones are not light.

John taking his turn on the slopes, now he is very serious about this sport!
After we were finished at the museum we headed downtown Park City.
There were lots of little shops, restaurants, art galleries, live music here.

This dog was staying comfortable in the middle of the floor, on the cool cement, at a custom made bike shop.
He was super hip with his dreadlocks tail and spiked collar.
One of the galleries featured Dr. Seuss so the boys were pretty excited
to see some of his work.
Not quite the cat in the hat, in fact the name of this one is:
Cat from the wrong side of the tracks.
Making friends with an extremely HOT bear and moose and another creature
that I'm not even sure what it is...the loch ness monster?

John in his steam punk hat.
Jayden was SO excited to see that Banksy had been right here in
Park City and had even created some artwork here.
One of the things we noticed besides all the beautiful ski resorts was
several of the restaurants had heated patio/balconies so you can enjoy
eating outside in the winter. There were a couple of permanent fire pits
around the town as well. I would LOVE to come back in the winter with our ski's!!
The boys picking out their equipment.
One of the many cool shops we went in.
After experiencing downtown we decided to drive home the long way (aka-scenic route).
These trees were at yet another ski lodge.
Some of the views from our drive back to Layton on Big Cottonwood.
Another memorable weekend in Utah!
