Our trip to Springfield, IL- Lincoln's home

For Thanksgiving break we ventured to Il for the holiday. It rained allll the way there so we were very happy when we finally got there. Wednesday we went to visit Lincoln's home in Springfield. Dan, Charman, Ashlee & Cade met us there for the tour.

This was the formal sitting room where Mary would entertain guests, the room could be divided so the men could sit in a different area then the women.

This was on the opposite side of the house and was more of the "family room" where the whole family would gather after supper. The kids weren't allowed on the other side.

It was a very interesting tour, we learned a lot! Next visit we will have to try to make it to his memorial.
