First night in Yellowstone

"The earth has always been talking to us, but many of us have lost our sensitivities to sound and vibration.
We do not hear her."

Joseph Rael

I liked this quote alot.  It was played on a slide show with pictures of the many beautiful views of Yellowstone during a Ranger talk.  So often I forget to just "stop and smell the flowers".   To truly appreciate God's amazing creation and the gifts he gives to us through nature.

When we first drove through the National Park gates we spotted this river.
We pulled over to check it out and John just HAD to stick his feet in.
The water was so clear and pure and just beautiful.
So the rest of us followed and yes I did actually have my feet in the water too, but that would
have been a boring picture. Lol!

The views on the way to our campsite was spectacular.
When we pulled onto the campground this is the first thing we see.
Great.  Plus when we checked in they informed us that they have had a bear
the last couple of nights.
 The view from our campgrounds
Yes, I know you are totally jealous of our sleeping quarters, right? I thought it wouldn't be bad.
Well I was wrong, it wasn't very comfy AT ALL!  Oh well, in the long run it was worth it.
After we got our van all set up for the night we headed to the Ranger Talk.  It was
so awesome to sit there outside while the sun set over the mountains, while we learned about Yellowstone
and saw all the beauties we were about to experience.  I think even if we had the best and most comfortable
bed to sleep in that night we still wouldn't have slept well since we were too excited.
