H20 fall

Sunday we enjoyed church meeting in Ogden, then came home and ate lunch.
After lunch we decided to go hike the waterfall hike in Ogden. From what we heard
it was a pretty easy and short hike so we figured it would be a fun way to spend the afternoon.
The first part wasn't too terrible, we hiked along a river in the shade.
Then came the hot sunny part, whesu!
The view was nice though so that helped:)
Then as the hike continued it got more rocky and more steep.
We couldn't find the top soon enough, we were getting hot, tired and cranky fast.
Then we were there, ahhh, so beautiful and very refreshing after our
hot, harder and longer hike then we had anticipated.
Joel basically took his shower for the day while Jayden climbed some more.
The view opposite of the water fall.
Now THIS boy can rock climb...
 and so can this one!

Coming back with a few detours along the way.
We had to capture a few more views.

  1. These pictures are amazing, but I have to admit the one of Joel climbing with the caption "Now THIS boy can rock climb..." is rather terrifying looking. It looks like he is climbing up a steep mountain like a rock climber or something. Was it really that steep or is that just how the picture portrays it?

By the way, we really miss you!

  2. Haha no it's just the angle of the camera! Here I thought John had done it on purpose and he said he didn't. He just took a pic of him laying on the rock. I thought it was intentional so we had a good laugh over that! Lol

  3. Well, no wonder I haven't seen you or John lately. Amazing photos. I hope life is treating you well. Miss you. Local Roots Ashland at the new location is doing great. Our worst day (dollar wise) is better than our best day on South Street. Chuck's last day is next Saturday and we have been looking for a new manager and may have found one (fingers crossed). Thanks for inviting me to your blog Julie. My health is great, I am 2 and a half years out of cancer treatment.
    Much warmth to your family....
    Nancy
