The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear,
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I marked the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:

The weather was so beautiful yesterday so the boys and I decided to go hiking in Mohican yesterday. As we were hiking this poem kept going over in my mind. We had to memorize this poem in school. The boys were constantly wanting to go "off roading" so our little hike became quite a long hike! We did see some beautiful sites we wouldn't have seen if we hadn't done it their way:) We hiked to the big falls (which was only a tiny trinkle, and went passed the small falls which was more impressive than the big falls, to the dam then back to our car. Jayden of course had to use the compass to check to see where our car was at all times.
I totally remember that poem from school!!! What a nice hike and time spent outdoors. We did some exploring on the trails here that day too. :)
