Adventureous Wednesday

We started the day with a late breakfast then we couldn't survive the day without another swim at the pool.
My attempt to get a picture of all 3 of us which was a success if you count Jayden's fingers and Joel's half of a face!
Next we ventured to downtown Napanee, this time I decided I'd park as soon as I could and we'd just walk and explore.  Not at all scary!  It cracks me up that just 24 hours before I was so intimidated by this little town and I really think its much smaller than Ashland.  Pretty funny!

Jayden's choice for lunch, how could he resist this place!
It was run by a man named Jack (ok, obviously his name was John).  He did all the cooking and all the cash register handling.  The waitress just took our order, it was kinda funny but you could tell John was the type of man who liked to do things himself.

After lunch we walked over to a park that had a spectacular view of the dam.  We also got to see trains going over and walk along the water where we saw lots of fish, and ducks sunbathing on a log.

The boys were lucky enough to discover a rock climbing wall! They are a little different then the ones in Ohio;)

After all our walking around the park and then through downtown we were getting pretty hungry.  This looked like a good place to stop for a snack!!
Enjoying our DELICIOUS home made ice cream.  It was soo very good! Joel got strawberry banana, Jayden chose raspberry and I got something called score.  Which was definitely a "score", how can you go wrong with chocolate chips, toffee bits and pecans!
When John got home from work we decided it would be a good pizza night.  We ordered pizza and headed back to the park for a picnic supper.

  2. What an interesting account of your trip to Canada. Loved reading all about it and enjoyed looking at all the pictures! So glad you all got to see the guy walk across Niagara Falls! What a interesting thing for the boys to witness!
