Green thumbs, little Zella, beans & a fashion dash

Joel and I spent the rest of his last day of school at the park.  It has been such beautiful weather lately

Helping Daddy get the garden planted. We have a little of everything so that everyone can have favorites.  We will see what actually comes up since our seeds are a little old!

Jayden's bean artwork from beans he inherited from his last days of 4th grade.

Friday night Lana and little Zella came over for a short visit. We loved seeing our little baby girl, she is such a doll!

Saturday morning I ran in the red dress run again, now called the "Fashion Dash".  This race is so hilarious!  I've never seen guys enjoy dressing up so much in my life as I do at this race! One man had on lipstick and a purse and satin gloves even! How can anyone take this race seriously? Lol!

Here we are getting lined up for the start.  I can tell you honestly that this race is one race where I can't say I feel totally intimidated at the start;)
Jayden doing some art work while patiently waiting for me to finish the race.

This must be when I'm really trying hard to beat those guys in red dresses!  It was such a fun race once again.  I love the comfort and fun atmosphere of this race. What a fun day, and the kiddos sure got a lot of laughs! They vow they will never do this one....we shall see (evil laughter).  I ended up placing 7th overall which means I must have beat at least a couple of these funny looking men, HA! I ended up with a new PR too finishing in 22:45.  So now I know what I need to do for speedwork...just have John run ahead of me in a red dress!
