the last day of our "holiday"

We figured if we had any chance at all to see the falls up close and personal then we'd better get a semi-early (9am is about the best we could do) start on Saturday morning.  We headed to Maid of the Mist in hope of getting tickets.  We got there and got through, no problem! Here we figured it would be sold out with the amount of people there this weekend.
We also assumed that we really wouldn't get that wet, maybe just a couple drops and that those silly blue suits were probably mostly a precautionary (you know, like Blue Man group rain coat seats).  Another assumption very wrong.
It was amazing how much mist was coming off the falls and the force of it!  We were getting soaked! The boys reactions above are NOT put on.  I was starting to feel pretty nervous being that close and the boys were pretty happy when our boat backed up just a bit.

It really was a blast and I would highly recommend it, I'd definitely do it again! Especially since we accidentally had our camera on night setting from the night before so most of our pictures didn't turn out that great at all.

Our little blue family

After seeing the falls up close and personal we headed downtown to find something to eat.  We got a little sidetracked. Imagine that!?

I don't like to share!!

What better way to end our vacation than with MORE pizza!

Goodbye Canada!  What a lovely "holiday". We learned pretty quickly from talking to people that this was what you call a "vacation".
