John is on the committee to get a Local Roots sprout here in Ashland. It seems very promising at this point and we have a lot of interest from the community so we are really hopeful! It is all volunteer based so the farmers will receive 90% profits! It's so great buying local and supporting our farmers right here and building new friendships with them, and of course knowing and seeing exactly where you food comes from! For all you book readers out there this is a WONDERFUL read: In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan- same guy who did Food Inc.
