Memorial Day Memories

We thought it would be a good idea to take Oscar to his first parade.
We couldn't have been more wrong.  Things are happy here in this picture, but as soon as it started
he started barking and wouldn't stop!! Ugh.
Joel wondering when the parade is going to start, he has his candy bag ready. (there was no candy)
Jayden found his friend across the street so went to say hello.
Our favorite part of the parade every year.  "The Mountain Man"
After the parade with the barking dog and no candy we decided it would be a good day to
go check out Roscoe Village.  We had been wanting to go for a long time so we figured
why not today.  It was a lot of fun and we really enjoyed our time there.

The boys being taught how to use the old printing press.
 Taking turns doing their part.
 Checking out the results.
Next we learned about broom making and what kind of brooms were used for what.

John trying out some of the merchandise.
 Bike.
 Eeeek!
 Medicinal Leeches...blah!
 Other remedies.

 Schoolhouse
 Trying out the chalk board
 Roscoe Village
Rug weaving.
