Joel had Dr. Seuss week at school which he excitedly reminded me Tuesday night to "make sure he doesn't forget that tomorrow is Wacky Wednesday!" So the next morning without a reminder he decided on this outfit. As the morning went along, eating breakfast, putting on his shoes I noticed his excitement turning to nerves. "Can you check the calendar again to MAKE SURE it's the right day?" and "What if I'm the ONLY one Mom?" WHAT?! This is new for sure. Jayden has always dared to be different and could care less if he were the only one, in fact he would take pride in that. Joel who has always seemed so confident, this was new. I kept assuring him this was the right day and reminding him he didn't HAVE to do it, it was all for fun. He decided to go with it but whimpered all the way to school. When we were in the drop off line he saw his first wacky wednesday kiddo's getting out of cars and I heard a big sigh of relief from the backseat. After school he informed me "it was the best day ever!"
The whole thing repeated again on Friday, dress as your favorite Dr. Seuss character day.
What a cute story and such a revelation about the differences between your boys. Each one of our children is definitely unique! Joel looks great!
