Columbus with friends

We spent Saturday in Columbus with some close friends of ours.

Josh and Melissa
We went to the North Market where we each chose our own authentic meal after shopping around and checking out all the vendors. We then enjoyed walking around Short North for awhile going to shops and spending to much money on fancy coffee drinks!
But at least they had pictures in them...

We decided we would head to German Village to the Book Loft, one of our favorite places before we headed to The Melt for a delicious (not so nutritious) meal.

After eating way way to much (Melissa and I couldn't say no to Reese's bread pudding) we headed back to our car through the St Patty's Day madness that was going on all around us and spilling onto the streets.  I was starting to feel a little like we were on Bourbon Street.
Although I did appreciate this pretty sweet artwork on the wall!
Last we headed to our main attraction the lights exhibit at Frankin Conservatory.

As we waited for the sun to set so we could enjoy some of the outside exhibits we enjoyed looking at the orchids, the butterfly garden and the beautiful sunset.
Once it was dark we got to experience the true beauty of the outside light exhibits.
What a fun day!

I love this picture because we knew we were just doing silhouette pose on our camera and yet we are all grinning from ear to ear!
and what better way to end the day then to stop by Dunkin Donuts for some coffee, maybe a donut or two or energy drink (Josh) on our way home.
