Cardoon

Have you ever heard of it?

I hadn't until we got one in our CSA basket this past week.  It is a cross between a artichoke and thistle I believe.  I decided it would be much more fun to try to figure out what to do with these if we had our dear friends, The Bechtol's over.  Then maybe we would both be more inspired with our cardoon creativity.

Well I think it worked. 

 I made a cardoon arrangement for our special guests.

 But I think the Bechtol's did an even better job with nunchucks, a gun, and an ax!

Which then inspired our kiddo's to make some weapons so they could have a cardoon war in the basement.

So no creamed cardoon soup at THIS party, but if you ever need cardoon weapons then you've come to the right place.  See what you missed out on Mrs. Sadie Smith?
