3rd times a charm

Jayden had to have 4 adult teeth removed.

We had to reschedule the appointment 3 times!

Finally Friday was the day.  We picked up a VERY nervous Jayden early from school on Friday and headed to the dentist.  John went back with him, in hopes of calming his nerves a little.  The dentist tried to do the novicane but Jayden was shaking so badly he couldn't do it.  The dentist gave him a few minutes and tried again.  Still shaking too much.  The dentist took John out to the hallway and said, "I'll try one more time, but if I can't do it this time we will have to reschedule and have him put under, or just do one to show him what it's like and reschedule for the others."  John told Jayden these options and the dentist came in.  Mister Jayden was sooo brave and I guess he was as still as could be.  The third time's a charm!  He really impressed the dentist and assistant.  They couldn't believe how good of a patient he was.  Afterwards Jayden was humming in the car on the way home, came flying in the house and wanted to play a game with John.  He's been completely fine since.  The anticipation was by far the worst part he says and now he can't wait to go to school on Monday to show his friends his teeth!  I am (and I'm sure Jayden is) SO relieved that it's over with and he didn't have to go through it all over again. Way to be brave Jayden!
