Snow+Run+iphone

The other day while out for a run I couldn't help but be so happy that I had my phone with me.  I just had to capture some of God's beauty along the way.  While I appreciate winter and scaling back on exercise there is still such beauty, peace and stillness on these cold winter days. I've really truly felt like I've "ENJOYED" winter the last couple years, which I thought I'd never say and actually be serious.  I think the key is just setting your mind to enjoy this part of nature and realize what a blessing it is to have it and to not let it make you hibernate.  When you actually just get out there in it, I must say it's pretty fun:)

  1. Great thoughts on this, Julie, and beautiful pictures! I too noticed the beauty of the quietness and crisp feeling in the air several days this week. It reminded me of a blog post I wrote last winter when I was failing to see the beauty in it and decided I needed to be enjoying it like I did as a child. Here's what I was thinking then: http://comealiveoutside.com/?p=737

    1. Thank you very much for sharing your blog post, I very much enjoyed it! Yes, I think it's important to think of all the fun/exciting things of winter and it helps us to have a better spirit and attitude and I think the biggest thing like you said, its just getting out there:)
