Weekend at the Mitchells

All of us kids went home for Easter weekend, so there was a lot of activity in the house for a few days. The grandkids had fun playing together and we had fun trying to outdo each others' jokes and shenanigans.

It's a Legos thing, you wouldn't understand.

Q: How many Mitchells boys does it take to change a light bulb?
A: Apparently more than 2 - it still needs changed!
Don't worry those are OSHA approved bar stools.

Springfield has a restaurant called the Pizza Machine. They make up to 60" pizzas and if you order one of their big ones, they bring it out to you with a crane! Gimmick aside, the pizza was really good, plus the experience and atmosphere were fun too!

View of the kitchen area from our table.

We only got the 40 incher. There were leftovers.

This guy is holding up the 60" pizza board. They have to make it, cut it in half and bake the halves separately, then reassemble. They deliver for a fee.

The kids drooling over the pizza - Riley was especially in a frenzy. Ashlee waiting patiently.

Amy holding the 60" pizza. Riding backwards in a station wagon is only fun when you're little.

Couch full of pillow pets. We had no idea they were the rage until this weekend, so of course the boys had to have them too! :)

Awwww... Peace in the house.

Family Picture time...

Awwww....Beauty...........................................and sorrow. (Sorry Amy if you are looking at these)

Dan is thinking about getting Lasik...

The balloons were a big hit for the kids(' parents).

We have several color settings on our camera - one of which is "HAPPY".
Can you spot which picture we took with HAPPY and which was regular? There are subtle differences, so you have to look closely.

  1. I looked at MY camera and found the black and white setting, the sepia setting, the color enhanced setting...but NO happy setting. :( You must have a better camera than me...

  3. How fun! Looks like a good time was had. That pizza is HUGE!! Amazing. I love pizza. Speaking of which, I'm totally in to Home Run frozen pizzas! Do they sell those in OH?? Not sure if its just a Chicago thing or not. I know they serve them at White Sox games....try them if they to sell them there.
