Columbus, coffee & cosi for Mother's day!

On Mother's day weekend we went down to Columbus to watch my friends finish the Columbus half marathon. I was supposed to run but couldn't since I've been injured and not running:( When we got there I happened to see my friend Sarah finishing so I ran after her and told John I was going to try to take her picture. Jayden ran with me and I ducked into the sidelines to snap a picture. John had turned around to pick up Joel to run after us. Needless to say we were lost from each other among probably around 40,000 people! I didn't take my cell because we were running late when we got there and I knew John had his. After standing in the same spot for awhile I borrowed a Mother's cell and it went straight to voicemail. I headed back to the car since that was the only thing that made sense to me and I guess John had ran into the corral thinking I was with my running friends. We finally found each other but it was SO scary because I wasn't sure if he had Joel and he wasn't sure if I had Jayden!

After our nervous scary fiasco we decided to head to Cosi Science Center the boys favorite place.

We loved the Geico exhibit they had going on. It was fun trying to find them all in there cages, some were easy to spot, and others were really hard!

We also did a special scavenger hunt, it was really fun but pretty difficult too! They said in order to break the entire code its taken up to 12-15 hours because you have crack 4 different languages: http://www.cosi.org/visitors/exhibits/adventure/ We did the main one to unlock the secret of knowledge and that was enough:)

After Cosi we went to the BookLoft to relax and have some coffee and read books! That is one of the coolest book store's I've ever been too! On our way home we stopped by Northstar to grab a Northstar burger to enjoy at home. It was a fun mothers day weekend (besides the getting lost in a large crowd part).

Earlier that week we took Grandma Cindy downtown to eat and to check out all the new little shops and places in Wooster. We we got dessert at :
Tulipán Hungarian Pastry and Coffee Shop

Joel picks fresh fruit for his dessert, even though there were all kinds of pies, cookies, cakes, pastries, scones...it was pretty funny!

One of my favorite places we visited was Local Roots which is a local food co-op. My friend sells her all natural/organic ground chicken patties here and I have to say they are really good! She has apple chicken, Greek and all different varieties. The boys really love them!
