Welcome Oscar!
John and I have talked about a dog for years. It seemed we were never on the same wave length.
He would want one and I wouldn't...then I'd want one and he wouldn't. We always knew we wanted to take the plunge some time but we just weren't sure when. We wanted to at least wait until the boys were old enough to help.
We had been watching on Petfinder on and off and had missed several rescues as they were adopted out to other families. We wanted to find just the right one. We waited and waited. One day ,when we got back from our trip from Illinois, Jayden was searching and found this little guy. We called right away because he was everything we were looking for. We went to see him the next day. There had been several calls for him already and a couple of people had already come to meet him. They had to make a decision where to place little Ryder. So we waited again, nervously. We went to Petco (just to look) and we got a phone call. They had already called our references and couldn't imagine Oscar with any other family but ours. That was a happy moment in the middle of the pet store!!!
He has been such a fun addition to our family and fits right in. We get lots of snuggles and kisses from our little guy. He loves to be outside any chance he gets. He LOVES to run.
The crazy part of the story is that his breeder is here in Ashland and his previous owner was also here in Ashland even though we rescued him from Port Clinton, over an hour away! His owner had a bad fall and couldn't care for him anymore.
Welcome little buddy!
