Dayton for spring break

Last week we went to Dayton with John since he was down there for work and the boys were on spring break.  We enjoyed swimming, shopping and eating (ok, and maybe a garage sale or two) while John worked then enjoyed our evenings together.

The first night we went to a restaurant called Piada's which is a little like Chipotle but with an Italian theme.  It was really good!  Then we found a place called Antique City so we thought we would just pop in and see what it was.  Well we ended up LOVING the place and stayed for over 2 hours just looking at all the antiques, getting ideas and reminiscing over some of the "antiques" that we remember very well!  There was a book store also which is what the kiddos did while John and I went down avenue after avenue of antiques.

Artwork made from stacked books
Somewhat creepy things too.
The next day the boys and I ventured out on our own and found plenty of things to do, including some garage sales.
We also got to eat with some special friends of ours, John and Sara, while we were there.  It was so great to finally catch up and I think their kiddos were well entertained by our active boys! HA!
Saturday on our way home we stopped by the Dayton Air Force Museum.
It was a very educational experience but you need more than one day to truly appreciate it all!

It made me very thankful once again for all our brave men and women who have given their lives in service. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
