We enjoyed one of our favorite times of February, Ian's birthday!
This year was an Italian theme, complete with appetizers, pizza and homemade Tiramisu.
We were some happy party guests:)
Blowing out the candles and making a wish.
On the way home Joel showed us his neat little party gift.
Jayden enjoyed spending two nights and going to the Y and much more fun!
Joel had his reading night at school which was
Skippy Jon Jones themed so they were supposed
to come dressed up like Skippy Jon Jones or
Mexican theme.
Silly boys trying out the masks they made.
I asked John to "help" Joel with his valentine box for his party, this is what "they" came up with.
Jayden's reading night was also a lot of fun! It was based on the Solar system so they did a lot of neat crafts, including making a rocket and their own planet!
We got to go into this dome and have our very own solar system experience. We even found the milky way and other things in the star lit sky, it was super cool!
Jayden playing his part as Julius Ceaser as he gives his National History Day presentation.
Way to go Jayden, you worked hard Buddy!
Joel working on his hat at the Valentines day party.
All done! He also had fun playing some fun game and getting a yummy snack!
When we got home we enjoyed watching him open all his little valentines. That was always one of my favorite things to do as a kid.
We had our very own fancy Thai food dining experience complete with chopsticks and candle light
now for a more "normal" Mitchell picture.
The next morning we went over to the Bird Sanctuary for their "Love is in the Air" program about owls. We learned some very interesting facts and some owl calls so that when we go out and listen maybe we can tell what they are "saying"....such as "Hey baby, wanna go on a date!"
Beautiful owls
That's not all the animals that were there though!
and the "cat-bird" as they call him because he thinks he is a bird too.
